The NBS and IHS Joint Venture

The NBS and IHS have worked in partnership for over 20 years, providing construction industry professionals with access to an extensive library of technical documents. The relationship continues to go from strength to strength, designing and implementing new products for new markets, and continually updating and improving existing products.

NBS is the publisher of the National Building Specification. A part of RIBA Enterprises Ltd and owned by the Royal Institute of British Architects, NBS operates to generate income for the benefit of RIBA members.

The Royal Institute of British Architects, one of the most influential architectural institutions in the world, has been promoting architecture and architects since being awarded its Royal Charter in 1837. Then the RIBA's remit was 'the general advancement of architecture'. Today's mission statement continues to embody these sentiments.
