IHS and NBS launch update to The Construction Information Service

IHS and NBS are pleased to announce an update to The Construction Information Service, the UK’s leading online service for construction professionals.

The Construction Information Service is an expert knowledge tool that delivers key technical information critical to all construction projects in one easy-to-use on-line package. The extensive range of full-text documents cover all aspects of the building, engineering, design and construction processes allowing organisations to complete projects accurately and on time.

IHS is committed to continually improving The Construction Information Service product to support its users in the construction industry and this update enhances the users experience and delivery of information directly to your desktop.

Federated Search
With certain Construction Information Service access levels you will now also be able to view the NBS Building Regulations. When searching for a term or document you will now see results from the CIS service, Specify-it and NBS Building Regulations.



Document Request Facility
Users of the Construction Information Service can now request access to documents by completing a form online. This will then be sent automatically to the Editors who will review the request.



Coming Soon
To keep up to date with documents that are due to arrive in the service in the next update. CIS will now provide a coming soon function. These documents will not be available to view but provides an indication of their imminent arrival.



Online Help Video
To support new and existing users the Construction Information Service now provides subscribers with access to online help video to take them through the basic information users need to know for navigating around the service.
