CIOB Unveils Building Control & Standards Faculty

Obtain a quoteThe Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) launched the faculty of Building Control and Standards.

"The intention is to raise the professional profile of building control professionals, and to assist individuals who are currently working within all sectors of building control to gain additional recognised professional qualifications," said Kevin Dawson, CIOB faculty chair.

"The faculty offers a structured training programme to those new to the building control sector as well as networking opportunities."

"The CIOB Building Control and Standards Faculty … [will] help us promote education and training opportunities in this sector," said Paul Timmins, chairman of the Association of Consultant Approved Inspectors (ACAI), which represents the interests of private sector building control professionals.
