Obtain a quoteStruxure Connections Module Enables Integration of MRO Item and Classification Data
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — February 12, 2007 — IHS (NYSE: IHS - www.ihs.com), a leading global provider of critical technical information, decision support tools and related services, today announced IHS Struxure 5, part of the IHS Intermat Solutions offerings, has achieved SAP certified integration for its seamless integration with the SAP® solution for enterprise asset management (EAM), a capability of the SAP Service and Asset Management solution.

IHS successfully completed integration testing of IHS Struxure 5 (version 5.3) and obtained SAP certified integration status through the SAP Integration and Certification Center.  Now customers can seamlessly access comprehensive maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) item and classification data when used with the SAP solution for EAM, the mySAP™ ERP or mySAP Supply Chain Management (mySAP SCM) applications.

IHS Struxure 5 enables communication of standardized MRO item descriptions.  Struxure catalog management software utilizes the Standard Modifier Dictionary (SMD™), the world’s most widely used cataloging methodology for industrial MRO items such as pipes, valves, bearings, associated plant equipment and general supply items.  As a result, users can develop and maintain standardized item descriptions and material classifications using IHS Struxure 5.  The Struxure Connections Module communicates with the instance of the SAP application in use via standard BAPI® programming interfaces and/or iDOCs.

“Our customers want to maximize the value of their SAP business applications,” said Paul Evenson, senior vice president, Parts Management, IHS.  “By leveraging IHS Struxure 5 in a fully integrated application, companies can increase their efficiency through access to comprehensive and current MRO item data quickly and easily.  This certification offers customer assurance that IHS Struxure 5 is fully compatible with the SAP solution for EAM.”
