IHS and Cardinal Environment Create Expanded Consolidated Law Registers for Health, Safety and Environmental Professionals

BRACKNELL, U.K. (5 February, 2008) – IHS Inc. (IHS: NYSE), a leading global source of critical information and insight, announced today its new collaborative agreement with Cardinal Environment, a specialist regulatory consultancy advising on environmental and health and safety regulations, that will result in more comprehensive legislative and technical information for Health and Safety and Environmental professionals.

As part of the new marketing agreement, Cardinal Environment and IHS are launching a new range of Law Registers that will complement the IHS Occupational Health and Safety Information Service (OHSIS), the U.K.’s leading online service for health and safety professionals. The Cardinal Consolidated Law Registers provide online, industry-specific Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental legislation accompanied by highlighted revisions and amendments. The first Registers are designed specifically for the Engineering, Manufacturing, Construction, Banking & Insurance industries.

“IHS and Cardinal Environment partnering on this advancement is an exciting development for OHSIS. The consolidated legislation will become the cornerstone to our services, complementing the critical content IHS delivers to our customers,” said Andrew Sadler Smith, senior vice president, IHS Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
