IHS to Offer Key Fire Safety, Prevention and Protection Information
New collaboration with the Fire Protection Association will bolster IHS OHSIS
LONDON (7 July 2009) – IHS Inc. (NYSE: IHS), a leading global source of critical information and insight, and the Fire Protection Association (FPA) today announced a new collaboration to incorporate content from FPA into the IHS Occupational Health and Safety Information Service (OHSIS). Effective immediately, OHSIS will include the most comprehensive fire safety, fire prevention and fire protection content from FPA the UK’s leading fire specialists.
"IHS has been keen to develop an agreement with the FPA for a number of years as we see it as an important area for health, safety and environmental professionals," said IHS Vice President of Sales and Marketing Adrian Gibson. "With this collaboration we are now able to include even more critical fire safety information within OHSIS, ensuring fire safety professionals and H,S&E professionals have access to invaluable fire safety and fire prevention information."
The IHS OHSIS is a leading source of technical information for the health, safety and environmental (H,S&E) industry, offering a fast, reliable, online platform for H,S&E professionals to access current legislation, guidance, standards and best practice documents. FPA content will further complement the existing fire safety supplement within the OHSIS suite of services.

IHS will also provide non-FPA members with an FPA membership as an integral part of the OHSIS FPA offering. The new content within OHSIS will include the FPA Library of Fire Safety, featuring:
