EurOHSE 2006 Masterclass on Working at Heights is the training day for you. It will be presented by Geoff Hornby, Alex Sammut and Paul Ramsden, ISAC UK Ltd on Thursday 9th November 2006 at the Imperial Hotel, Russell Square, London see www.eurohse2006.com for further details. The trainers deliver many courses for IOSH - the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health.
The Masterclass aims to build on existing knowledge and skills on working at heights that should be in place within the framework of managing health and safety at work
Learning Objectives
At the completion of the Masterclass participants will have:
- increased their own knowledge of current legislation requirements (WAH, MHSWR, Construction and CDM, PUWER and LOLER) and practice in working at heights and accident statistics

know how to consult staff in establishing and communicating a clear working at policy objectives throughout the organisation
-
developed a planned approach to working at heights and accident reduction, informed by risk assessment and supported by standards, targets and knowledge of available tools to assist
-
knowledge of control strategies - in construction, demolition, roped access, site condition and security, emergency systems and procedures further knowledge of working at heights
- know-how to be able to periodically review performance against policy objectives and targets to ensure lessons learned are fe d back into the risk management system and communicated to all staff
The Masterclass is aimed at:
OSH managers responsible for advising on equipment selection, methods of working at height, site conditions and security
