New Emergency Services Show 2006 Improving emergency response
A brand new event – the Emergency Services Show 2006 – is to be held at the Royal Horticultural Halls, London WC1 on 19th and 20th October 2006. Aimed at all Category 1, 2 and other Emergency Responders in the UK; the show, which is organised by the publisher of Emergency Services Times and its sister company magazine Fire Times, is the first and only event to champion information sharing between all emergency responders. As such, it offers operational officers, buyers and decision-makers unbeatable access to a multitude of emergency services, suppliers and voluntary organisations at one venue.
One dedicated event for all responders to share information From terrorist incidents to floods, fires and road traffic accidents, most civil emergencies call for multi agency collaboration. Under the Civil Contingencies Act, Category 1 and Category 2 Responders have a duty to share information with other Category 1 and Category 2 Responders.
The new show, which has the full support of the London Fire Brigade and The London Ambulance Service, provides the ideal platform for all UK responders to share information, as David Brown, Sales Director for the Show, explains, “Within the current climate of modernisation and with regionalisation on the horizon, there is a growing need for information sharing between not only police, fire and ambulance services but other key responders - organisations that provide essential specialist knowledge, skills and equipment at incidents, government bodies and non-government organisations, and also manufacturers and suppliers of products and equipment used by the emergency services. The Emergency Services Show 2006 provides an outstanding opportunity for visitors, speakers and exhibitors to network and build relationships crucial to successful co-responding and business progression.”
Emergency Support Zone A wide range of organisations offer specialist services that accelerate procedures and increase the safety and welfare of those involved at the scene of an incident. The show’s unique “Emergency Support Zone” will provide a specific area for information sharing between emergency services and support organisations. Confirmed exhibitors in the Emergency Support Zone already include: The Environment Agency, St John Ambulance, Mountain Rescue Council, ATOC, Salvation Army, UKISARG, SIESO, British Red Cross, Maritime Coastguard Agency and Tubelines Emergency Rescue Unit.
High profile conference In addition to a plethora of exhibition stands, a dedicated Emergency Services conference - central to the exhibition - will provide key personnel with an exciting forum for discussions, debates and information sharing on emergency planning and co-responding.
So whether you are looking for the latest communications and IT equipment, station equipment, training and education resources, technical rescue and medical equipment, decontamination units, personal protective equipment or vehicles and vehicle equipment – or simply want to benefit from hearing about the latest issues at one of the high profile conferences, The Emergency Services Show 2006 is the place to be!
