Information on more than 100 million items in the U.S. Federal Supply Catalogue and over 40 U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, and related databases are provided. HAYSTACK allows users to locate a part number, determine its manufacturer, research past award histories, conduct competitive analyses, identify alternative sources, and more.

HAYSTACK simplifies parts and logistics research with a batch search feature that generates information on thousands of items in just minutes. This information can be printed out or downloaded and then inserted into a database or spreadsheet. With all processing done on the IHS server your computer is free to complete more important tasks. HAYSTACK’s built-in linkage to IHS’ commercial parts database further reduces acquisition cycle times and helps you comply with COTS initiatives. This database allows you to quickly research over 90 million commercially-available sources of supply. Plus, it helps you identify parts for which there is no NSN.
