Section XII of the ASME Boiler Pressure and Vessel Code (BPVC) discusses the rules pertaining to construction and continued service of transport tanks.  This section features proper requirements for transportation of dangerous goods on several areas including:

  • highway
  • rail
  • air
  • water

Section XII reveals the rules for transportation at pressures from full vacuum to 3,000 psig and volumes greater than 120 gallons.

This section also contains appendices for requirements of specific transport modes of vessels and service applications.
